I’m finding Dori while on a mission to stay active, healthy, youthful, and stylish even though I’m over 50! If you are a woman over 40 or even 50, active, hip, stylish and desire to remain youthful, then you have reached the right place. Together we will take on the mission to eat right and be the best we can be at any age.
Cooking is my passion and I started sharing my recipes on my blog, Malibu Kitchen, several years ago, mostly featuring recipes which I cooked for my family. Today, I’m still cooking for my family, however, the kids are now young adults, choosing their own paths in the foods they cook and eat, and well, the hubby and I aren’t getting any younger. Deciding now is the time that I need to start cooking and eating for my own (hopefully, encouraging my hubby to follow) health and longevity, I’m going to put the focus on those recipes going forth. Recipes that are healthy, simple, yet vibrant and delicious.
The goal of Malibu Kitchen is to inspire and encourage women to maintain a youthful lifestyle through healthy cooking and eating. Hey, I live in Malibu and want to keep on wearing my bikinis to the beach.
I don’t follow a diet or any particular way of eating, but I do explore and test dishes that are paleo, vegan, plant based, and whole foods. Trying my best to avoid re-fined sugar, but not always possible, the same goes for red meat. At times, I allow myself to indulge, but am not a glutton.
